Tragically, 29-year-old Priscilla Santana of Hemet, working as a prostitute in San Bernardino, was murdered in February 2012 at the Good Nite Inn in Redlands. She was stabbed 59 times. Kameron Hamilton was convicted of her brutal killing.

A couple was murdered at a San Bernardino County nudist resort; the motive may have involved a dispute over a hot dog. The victim worked as a prostitute in San Bernardino at the time of her death. Law enforcement continues efforts against prostitution and trafficking. A 2024 operation throughout Riverside County resulted in 101 arrests for solicitation, pimping, and pandering. Fontana police arrested 13 people during an undercover sting. Redlands Police addressed false rumors of human trafficking near local stores.
