Newton offers several girls’ sports programs. Newton Girls Soccer is New England’s largest girls’ soccer club. They focus on fun, skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Newton Girls Lacrosse provides a community-based developmental program. Newton Girls Softball (NGS) is volunteer-run, offering coaching and youth umpire training. Newton County Recreation has a Youth Basketball Program. It’s for children ages 4 to 15, teaching fundamentals.

Women’s Health Services

For women’s health, Wellesley Women’s Care offers services in Newton. Associates in Women’s Health provides OBGYN care. The Women’s Health Center at Newton-Wellesley Hospital treats a range of women’s health issues. EJ Women’s Care is also available. Brigham and Women’s Newton Corner was located at 272 Center Street but closed permanently on December 18, 2023.

Community & Cultural Groups

Historically, the West Newton Women’s Club formed in the spring of 1880. Three insightful women started it to accomplish things together. W.O.M.A.N.S. (Women of Minnigaff Newton Stewart) is a group dedicated to improving their town. Newton Country Day School is an independent Sacred Heart school for girls in grades 5-12. They explore the benefits of an all-girls education. The League of Women Voters Newton registers voters and educates them on local and national issues. They do not endorse candidates.

Youth & Sports Organizations

Newton Youth Hockey offers Learn to Play and Travel Hockey for boys and girls. Newton Abbot Rugby Club has a large junior section, including an Under 14s Girls team. South Newton School Corporation athletics includes High School Girls Basketball. The John M. Barry Boys & Girls Club of Newton supports youth development. The Jasper County Boys and Girls Park hosts baseball and softball.
