Prostitutes Broad Ripple
Recent Enforcement Actions
Prostitution activity has increased on Indianapolis’ east side. On May 2, 2022, IMPD Vice detectives arrested one person following a tip about possible prostitution at a Broad Ripple massage parlor. A total of six escorts responded to meeting requests during this investigation, resulting in four arrests.
Historical Patterns and Resident Concerns
Concerns about prostitution are not new. Similar issues were noted at Indianapolis truck stops as far back as 2014, and again in May 2022. Residents of the Broad Ripple Village neighborhood express ongoing worries. They report persistent weekend violence and feel the area is being actively destroyed.
Adult Businesses and Community Complaints
Broad Ripple is home to several adult-oriented businesses. Establishments like Jiggles Strip Joint and The Pony operate in the area. Some community members have voiced complaints about service and clientele at local bars, describing workers as looking like prostitutes
and patrons as vulgar and rude.
Ongoing Incidents and Community Response
Further IMPD enforcement occurred on May 4, 2022. Arrests related to prostitution were made near Hooker Corner. By March 22, 2014, six people had been arrested in a central Indiana prostitution investigation. On June 12, 2025, an abduction incident was reported in Broad Ripple, adding to safety concerns. Community frustration remains high. Residents question what actions are being taken to address the violence and related crime occurring regularly in Broad Ripple.
