Prostitutes Jupiter: Investigation and Legal Outcomes

Prostitutes Jupiter

A judge ruled surveillance videos cannot be used as evidence in the trial related to the Jupiter day spa prostitution investigation. This evidence was central to the case against individuals like New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who was among 25 people charged in February 2019 with soliciting prostitution at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa. More arrests followed in the wider sex trafficking and prostitution probe.

Case Developments and Charges

By December 2020, plea deals brought closure to several cases connected to the Orchids of Asia spa. Earlier, in September 2020, the State Attorney’s Office considered filing charges against additional suspects in the Jupiter spa investigation. The case involved allegations of human trafficking and prostitution. Police arrested spa owner Lei Wang and manager Hua Zhang on charges of deriving support from prostitution.

Evidence Dismissal and Controversy

Kraft’s high-profile charges were ultimately dropped by Florida prosecutors after the key video evidence was thrown out in March 2019. Investigators revealed women were living inside the spa where the alleged prostitution occurred. The investigation sparked debate about the nature of the bust, questioning whether it targeted consensual prostitution or a genuine human trafficking operation. Several defendants, including Wang, eventually accepted plea deals to resolve their cases.
