Prostitutes North Cowichan: Community Safety Efforts

Prostitutes North Cowichan

RCMP are asking for witnesses to a disturbance at the Cowichan Aquatic Centre. This request comes as police also look into the long-term disappearance of Ian Henry. Henry, 26, was last seen in 2018. If you know anything about Ian, contact North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522 or Crime Stoppers.

Nuisance Property Regulations

North Cowichan regulates nuisance properties under its Nuisance Abatement and Cost Recovery Bylaw. These are properties with disruptive activities impacting the community. The municipality encourages efforts to help stop sexual exploitation.

Combating Sexual Exploitation

A recent symposium aimed to shed light on sexual exploitation and assault in the area. Tree poaching on Vancouver Island has prompted a spike in forest crime. This illegal activity remains a concern for authorities.

Police are also looking for missing 60-year-old Michael Christian Zortea. He hasn’t been seen since November. Residents have previously protested against planned safe injection sites, expressing concerns about their impact. For any crime tips, remember Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
